Fifty years ago, I flunked out of college, and I went to Paris to study French. I lasted three days and then started hitchhiking south to avoid the cold European winter.
Eventually, I took a paddle wheeler on the Nile River from Cairo, Egypt to Juba, Sudan. I then hitchhiked through East Africa, on to India, Ceylon, and Japan. The trip took nine months.
I'm going around the world again. This time, business class.
